The Educational Academy is proud to be an accredited centre of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) number 005462078. We have over seven years of audit history with CIPS delivering quality in subject preparation, examination preparation and exam results. CIPS offer employees and employers a professional standard to support the efficient planning and deployment of procurement and supply workflows. To this extent we are happy to discuss how the CIPS Professional Standard can help you as an individual map out your career pathway as well as for employers to map out their talent management programmes and how this can add value across their business. The CIPS principles are applicable to all core functional areas of business process. For more information on CIPS global Professional Standard please visit here |

The Educational Academy use MCIPS qualified tutors on all courses who have a range of commercial and public sector experience through employment as procurement specialists. Our lead procurement specialist is Mr David Chidley, who has held roles in procurement with several international manufacturing and service companies. His knowledge of the CIPS professional standards and experience blend the course materials into an operations manual for individuals and organisations to develop and run effective and efficient procurement and supply processes. Dave has a wealth of experience in procurement and supply and a real understanding of the practical issues faced operationally and strategically by business. All students benefit from discussions and learning opportunities based on practical application of the theory and process of procurement and supply not simply a theoretical understanding. The Educational Academy expertise reflects the consistent examination performance from our students in examinations. From 2019 the Educational Academy are offering the updated CIPS curriculum across all levels:
|
You can begin your journey from level 2 and depending on your experience you may be able to jump to level 4. For returners to education we suggest that you take at least level 3 before starting on a full L4 programme. Please see further information below. |
The Educational Academy will deliver face-to-face programmes from its bases in Essex and Kent, where it also has its own exam centres. Virtual tutor support may be available under certain requirements to support tutor progress. All students who study with us, are offered one exam attempt included in their course fee. Other external students will be charged a local administration fee to sit the exam. These charges are supplementary to the obligatory CIPS membership and exam booking fees. EA can offer classes either as an open course provision for individuals joining our classes or should you be a larger employer with a number of candidates to train we can offer a closed course. For details of these arrangements please contact us. |
Your fee structure is simple, no hidden or extra charges. For every credit studied we charge you £50. This means that that for an 8 credit module you will be charged £400. Thus a L4 Diploma has a mix of modules of 6 credits and 12 credits. A 6 credit module would cost 6 times £50 giving a total module cost of £300 and a 12 credit module would cost 12 times £50 equals £600. Therefore overall a L4 Diploma of 60 credits is built up of the component module credit values and a fee of 60 times £50 equals £3,000 per level. Every award cost is similarly built up from its component units. The student requires to purchase their own copy of unit study guide and other essential reading books and pay your CIPS registration and exam fee. |
Our courses are timetabled to market requirements. However, courses generally run as long form courses for 3 hours in evening, or compressed courses running for 10 hours at weekends. The duration of the courses is dependent on level studied and exam threshold dates. |
